Four Optimist Prams (OPTI’s) will be used for teaching purposes. Such boats are used universally for teaching youths how to sail. These boats are:

• Approximately 8’ in length

• Stored on and can be moved with hand-powered dollies

• Incorporate air-filled bladders for flotation purposes in case of a capsize (participants are taught how to recover from a capsize)

In addition, an O’Day Daysailer will be utilized to introduce youths to handling a jib and functioning as a team.
